ABOUT MRS. DEMONT:
I grew up in Ashland Ks on a 15,000 acre cattle ranch where my Dad was ranch manager for Young and Cooper Cattle Co. based in Wichita Ks. My Mother was a nurse. I have two brothers and two sisters. We moved to the western part of Ks in 1971 my Dad managed a 30,000 acre cattle ranch for Tony Beaty of Lakin, where I attended Kendall Middle School and High School. I participated in all sports and High School Rodeo, in college I was on the rodeo team, volleyball team and softball team. I began teaching in 1981 in Lakin Ks met and married my husband Rich and have two sons, Rusten and Jayce. Both son's attend Fort Hays State University. Rusten graduated from FHSU this May and will attend graduate school in January. Jayce will be a Junior this year.

I love nature and camping and fishing I currently do not own a horse but someday I would like to ride again.

Education:
I Graduated from High School in Lakin Ks. I attended Garden City Community College and graduated with a BA in art education from Fort Hays State University. Go Tigers!

I have previously taught K-12 art in Lakin Ks for 15 years, 1 year at Kinsley, Offerle and Spearville schools, and the past 9 years I have taught HS art for Rural Vista Schools.
