BROCKMEIER: I grew up in Woodbine, Kansas. My father farmed, and my mother was a teacher. My two sisters and I grew up playing sports, riding horses and enjoying life in a small town. I attended school in Woodbine through the eighth grade. I then spent my high school years at Hope. Purple became my favorite color as I spent the next four years at Kansas State University. I taught for a year before marrying my husband, Phil, and we had our first baby, Ryan, three years later. Tara and Crysta soon joined our growing family. The years have gone by quickly, and we now have a daughter-in-law named Jennifer and a son-in-law named Ryan. We were also blessed with two grandsons, Ben and Garrett, this past year. Crysta is at Kansas State University and will be getting married to Cass McMahan in June. |
