Technology to support learning.

Introduction

 

Effective long term and short term planning can make the difference between success and failure in any endeavor.  No where is this more true than with technology in education.  Establishing goals, objectives. training, and assessments to evaluate the impact of projects are all necessary to make sure we are doing what is best for the students of the district..  Herington Schools are in the process of updating the district technology plan. 

Step one started last spring as the committee met and discussed the direction and importance of technology in the district.   That process is continuing as a formal plan is presented to the Board of Education for adoption.  Following adoption on the local level, the plan will be submitted to the Kansas State Department of Education for approval.

Input is being sought from committee members for final adjustment prior to sending this to the Board during the November meeting.  Comments can be sent to jutech@teen.k12.ks.us.
